Joel Spolsky, is founder of Trello, Stack Overflow and Glitch.

His blog is one of OGs of internet. I found Joel from Seth Godin’s blog. I revisit JoelOnSoftware every now and then, it’s a great time capsule, fun and excellent learning resource with 1000+ articles.

Around his 30th (1995), it seems that Joel had left Microsoft where he worked as Program Manager for Excel and took a year’ish long sabbatical.

At this point he is still 5 years away from starting Fog Creek Software, his first startup.
