Grace Hopper, often referred to as “Amazing Grace” or “the Queen of Code,” was undeniably a pioneer for the future of tech. Hopper attempted to enlist in the Navy during World War II but was rejected because she was 34 years old. After this rejection, she started her career in computer programming.

At the age of 43, she achieved one of her most significant accomplishments by developing the first compiler for a computer programming language.

She was a trailblazer for women in technology, breaking barriers and inspiring future generations of female programmers and engineers. Grace was awarded the National Medal of Technology at the age of 85.
